Our Brands
Solomons has a proud history which dates back to 1890, when Nathan Solomon opened the first store in Adelaide, South Australia. By the 1950’s, the company turned our full attention to flooring products.
Carpet Call started in Brisbane in 1975, when the founder and current MD, Jim Smith, opened his first store in Alderley, north of Brisbane. At the time he had to roll out carpet onto the street, quickly prepare and cut it, whilst there was no traffic!
