17 new franchise partners join the Floor Stores group as the business strengthens its national footprint.

Carpet Call has announced the acquisition of Dollar Curtains & Blinds, bringing 17 new franchise partners into the Floor Stores group and further strengthening the organisation’s presence across Australia.

Founded in 1967, Dollar Curtains & Blinds has grown from humble beginnings selling curtain fabric for a dollar per metre in suburban Melbourne into one of Australia’s most recognised window furnishing specialists. Today the business is known for its custom made curtains, blinds, shutters and awnings, with a strong network of corporate and franchised stores serving customers across multiple states.

The move marks an important step in the continued growth of the group and expands its reach within the home interiors market. Dollar Curtains & Blinds has built a strong reputation for quality window furnishings, custom solutions and professional service, making it a natural fit within the broader Floor Stores Franchising network.

Through the acquisition, the existing Dollar Curtains & Blinds franchisees will join the group while continuing to assist their local communities with the same trusted service their customers have come to expect.

Over the past month, National Franchise Manager, Jack McClane from Floor Stores Franchising has travelled across Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales to meet the new franchise partners and their teams in person.

“The opportunity to spend time with each of the franchisees and their staff has been incredibly positive,” said Jack McClane. “The quality of people across the network is outstanding and the professionalism of the stores is impressive. It’s clear there is a strong culture and a genuine passion for what they do.”

The addition of the Dollar Curtains & Blinds network strengthens the group’s capabilities across flooring and window furnishings, while creating new opportunities for collaboration, shared expertise and future growth.

“This is an exciting moment for the business,” McClane said. “We’re delighted to welcome these franchise partners into the group and we’re looking forward to supporting them as we continue building a stronger national network together.”

In the immediate term, it will be business as usual for the Dollar Curtains & Blinds stores as they continue serving their local communities. The group will work closely with franchise partners over time to identify opportunities to encourage networking, enhance marketing initiatives and further support store performance across the network.
