Carpet Call is a genuine retail success story. From its humble beginnings as a one store operation in suburban Brisbane when our first store opened in 1975, to the nation-wide retail chain of today, Carpet Call has established itself as the leader in retail floor coverings. Carpet Call have franchised and corporate stores right around Australia and a builders division supplying to some of Australia’s largest builders.
Solomons started in Adelaide way back in 1890, with our first store on Gouger Street. Since then, our brand has been installing high quality flooring and window furnishings throughout Australia, transforming customers’ homes and commercial premises. We have franchised stores all around Australia and have plans to double our network into the future.
Even though we are two separate brands, our franchisees do work together and network amongst each other. Twice a year we meet together, firstly at our combined national conference which alternates between a domestic Australian location or an overseas location. At the conference our franchisees hear about results, share best practice tips and tricks and celebrate the past 12 months. There are tours and group activities as well and a chance for a little well deserved R&R.

Each year, each state also hosts a Supplier Roadshow. Our amazing group of suppliers set up in an expo style and present their latest products. The franchisees from both brands attend and it’s a great chance for them to chat with suppliers and touch and feel the new products, and network over food and drinks. Both events are well attended and great fun and shouldn’t be missed.
